Safety

Vaalputs employees are properly trained in all safety aspects of the operational task and are constantly monitored for exposure to radiation. The surrounding soil, underground water, plants and animals in the Vaalputs environment are also regularly monitored for radioactive contamination. These results are thoroughly analysed and reported to the National Nuclear Regulator as well as being made available for public scrutiny.
